Airsickness is a sensation which is induced by air travel. It is a specific form of motion sickness, and is considered a normal response in healthy individuals. Airsickness occurs when the central nervous system receives conflicting messages from the body (including the inner ear, eyes and muscles) affecting balance and equilibrium.

Traveling can be rough for anyone. It can be horrible for people who are prone to getting airsick while flying. Here are some tips to help prevent air sickness.

  1. Try to avoid heavy meals. You should not fill your stomach with greasy, salty and heavily spiced meals. You should try to eat smaller snacks multiple times a day.

During your flight you may want to:

  1. Not play handheld games, maybe listen to music or an audio book.
  2. Look to the horizon at a fixed point. It helps your brain to focus better.
